ABOUT SUMMER SKETCH CLUB
Summer Sketch Club is an art program for children that was started by Hannah Israelsen in 2013. The purpose of Summer Sketch Club has always been to nurture the innate artistic creativity in children by giving them the chance to experiment with high-quality art materials in an atmosphere of encouragement and positivity. The art materials used in our classes are on par with those used in high school art classes and private art lessons, but we strive to keep our classes as affordable as possible so that children from all walks of life can experience the excitement of painting with acrylics on a canvas, or painting a watercolor on paper that doesn’t rip when it gets wet. It’s our hope that through these classes, children gain confidence in themselves as artists and continue on a lifelong path of enjoyment in artistic expression and art appreciation.
Summer Sketch Club always culminates with an art show where the artists’ work is displayed and families come to admire and celebrate their children’s creativity. Everyone in the community is invited to come to the art show and be inspired by the beautiful, diverse artwork of our young artists!
